From the one-by-one reveal of fresh additions before the title's launch, to trainers forming strong opinions on the entire roster of new Megas, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.

Given numerous of the Super Forms showcasing distinctive appearances that highlight their personalities, one idea came to mind: What's the best way to connect this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a mix of intuition, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndoom was almost chosen for this fire sign, as they are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that inspire the greatest apprehension. Gemini – Super Medicham

Observe this absolute royalty. You cannot tell me this creature is not the soul of every party, offering an endless fountain of chatter to those who wish to listen. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Twins, it's incredibly easy to imagine Mega Medicham captivating an entire Wild Zone with their stories. This Pokémon's official description also states its capacity to foresee an opponent's future actions, which seems quite like a people-smart Gemini.

The Crab – Mega Manectric

The Crab is commonly regarded as the most sensitive member of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol known for often becoming absorbed in their emotions. According to the official info, Super Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “tremendous amount of energy, but it's too much for Manectric to fully control,” which seems a lot like a classic Cancer crash-out. It is also known for its capability to make a thundercloud over its very self – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is going to do, it’s rain on their own parade.

Leo – Mega Starmie

Well, did you think I was planning to select Pyroar for the lion of the zodiac? Fans were captivated from the purple sea star, and that’s exactly the same energy a Lion offers to the scene. Starmie is also said to be transmitting radio waves from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Lion to be staging a show, albeit for extraterrestrials.

The Maiden – Super Victreebel

The ever-prepared and constantly-worried Maiden is perfectly encapsulated in Super Victreebel, the Mega with constant acid reflux. The zodiac symbol famous for being endearingly judgmental is strongly reflected throughout this Pokémon’s whole lineage, from a always shocked face like a Virgo when you tell them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its inverted visage that’s similar to the symbol a Virgo sends to the chatroom when all says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of making a strategy.

Libra – Mega Audino

Look at this sweet, sensitive creature, who uses the sensors on its auditory organs to tell how people are emotionally by their pulse. Consistently empathetic – sometimes to a fault – and striving to maintain the peace, there are many Scales who would likely benefit from Mega Audino’s abilities. However, to be frank, it would probably just cause them to worry more about everyone else.

Scorpio – Mega Banette

Banette is a creature with a unexpectedly sad origin: Discarded as a doll, it became sentient through pure hatred and vowed revenge on its former owner. According to the official info, Mega Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That sounds exactly like many conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpion friends. A Scorpion adores karma and comeuppance, making them the perfect pair with Mega Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Both Mega Hawlucha and Archers are always staging a show. Being a Archer myself, the amount of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “silly little entertainer” is countless. The showiest and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even notes how it “poses to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Archer counterpart I can imagine.

Capricorn – Super Absol

Did you know that a Super Absol has the power to foresee calamities in advance? That exudes the identical energy as a Capricorn, who tends to consistently think they’re correct. Interestingly, similar to a visionary Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute first Mega Evolution that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to join the beginning of the Super Form craze.

Aquarius – Super Chandelure

Detached element Aquarius is possibly the non-fire sign that is most like a flame symbol – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are countless jokes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being chaotic accomplices.
